David Leroy Cook, 73, of Indianapolis, passed away Monday July 16th, 2018. He was born November 15, 1944 to Helen Cook and Robert Cook. David was a devoted and loving father of four (Dennis, Deanna, Miranda, Marissa), a very proud grandfather of eight (Krystal, Haley, Skyleigh, Leighton, Trenton, Dominic, Mira, and Brantley), and brother to Bob Cook.
David loved nothing more than being surrounded by family and friends; he enjoyed golfing, family gatherings, and watching movies. He found great pleasure in caring for others; providing love and nurturance where ever needed. He provided a listening ear, open arms, protection and guidance. His love ‘always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres’; his love never failed.
David was a selfless man that carried many qualities; through him we have found the meaning of courage, forgiveness, and mercy for others. It is through him that we know the depths of love; the meaning of family; and the power of true friendship. It is his laughter that carried us through many trials; his hugs that promised better days; and his kisses that reminded us that we would be forever loved. His love and humor carried through until he took his first breath in heaven to which God must have replied, “Job well done”. You will be forever missed.
